MPS01: Soundscapes of the Soul: A Somatic Breathwork and Sound Healing Experience

Instructor bios: Edna Abney, DMFT, LMFT, CCTP, and Tequilla Hill, PhD, LMFT

Immerse yourself in the transformational power of breathwork and sound healing as you embark on a journey of self-connection and healing. This integrative experience is designed to promote somatic wellness, emotional release, and profound relaxation. The session blends the ancient practices of pranayama and nada yoga (sound therapy) to guide the restoration of balance in spirit, body, and mind.

By working with breath and sound, you will activate the deep mind-body connection essential for healing and leave feeling centered, rejuvenated, and more in tune with yourself. Our pranayama practice will aim to regulate the nervous system, release tension stored in the body, and invite mindfulness. The session integrates sound therapy using healing instruments such as singing bowls, drums, and chimes, creating vibrational waves to soothe the nervous system, clear energetic blockages, and promote holistic restoration.
